Call For Presentations

We still have a few presentation slots to fill.
Contact papers@ngis.org for more details.

The Nevada Geographic Information Society is excited to continue its tradition of offering a great event for networking, education, and innovation at its 29th Conference.

We want you to help build our community by telling us about what you do!

You don’t have to be a GIS professional to present at this meeting. We are looking for presentations that show how geospatial data and approaches help us all by “mapping together.”

Presentation Formats

  • 20-minute individual presentations
  • Session proposals, consisting of several presentations that are of the same topic

Example Topics

  • Asset Management and GIS
  • ArcGIS Pro Tips and Tricks
  • ArcGIS Online
  • Public Safety
  • Public Health
  • Biological Sciences
  • Conservation and Resource Management
  • Cultural Resources
  • Open-Source Software and Tools
  • GIS at Nevada Institutions of Higher Education
  • Geospatial Science and Research Studies
  • State/Local Government Applications

If your work involves mapping, our community is interested in hearing from you!

Presenting at conferences is a great career-builder, including maintaining your GISP credentials.

Vendors are encouraged to demonstrate their products and discuss their
services during the Vendor Showcase on Wednesday morning.
